Quick morning plant-protein boost smoothie!
Blend: 2 small sliced frozen bananas, 2 medjool dates*, 200ml unsweetened almond milk*, 1-2tbsp purple balance* chocolate plant protein and 1/2 cup ice cubes. Top with blueberries or raspberries, granola, cacao nibs and a drizzle of agave/honey/maple syrup

Variations:
Protein: I used the Purple Balance raw natural sweet chocolate flavour protein (this has hemp protein, lucuma fruit and maca root as well as cacao and coconut sugar) find out more: http://www.purplebalance.co.uk/produc… if you don’t have this, you could use any other protein or add in nuts and seeds (if you have a powerful blender). Alternatively ,you could just use 2tsp cacao for a chocolate banana smoothie.
Sweetener: I used two medjool dates to sweeten. If using smaller dates, add in 3 or 4. Alternatively, you could use coconut sugar, maple syrup, honey or agave to sweeten.
Milk: I used unsweetened almond milk. You can use any milk you desire – oat, soy, regular, hemp etc.
