Lemon is categorized as a plant. Its properties are often used to make medicine. According to the experts, lemon is used to treat scurvy, a condition caused by not having enough vitamin C. Lemon is also known for being effective in treating the common cold and flu, H1N1 (swine) flu, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), Meniere’s disease, and kidney stones. It also contains antioxidants called bioflavonoids. Researchers believe these bioflavonoids are primarily responsible for the health benefits of lemon. It’s filled with vitamin C—one lemon has 187 percent the amount you need in a day—which is a great antioxidant that helps boost your immune system.
Drinking lemon water, is reported to have a plethora of great benefits. Lemon water is literally one of the simplest additions to a healthy diet that you can find, and it’s extremely inexpensive. I went in search of the benefits. I wanted to find out what makes lemon water so special and how it’s beneficial to your health.
After researching the benefits,l decided to put it to the test and try it for myself. I’ve been drinking lemon water for the past few weeks. Initially, I wasn’t in love with the warm water and tarty taste (sour flavors are not necessarily my fave), but my taste buds quickly became accustomed it. I found myself looking forward to my new early morning beverage especially after the noticeable differences- more energy, better skin and great digestion,to name a few. It’s definitely one the simplest, yet best discoveries I’ve been introduced to by far!
