Peloton Review: Is it Worth It? Everything You Need to Know Before You Buy It!

Some additional things I enjoy about the bike is it has so many different class options to choose from with excellent and motivating instructors. You can choose classes to cycle on your bike or you can opt for floor exercises like strength training, yoga, meditation, boot camp, and cardio. I also love that it tracks all of your workouts with details on how much output and calories you burned and your average timing and output. The videos themselves are well produced with high quality resolution and a decent sound system. I also appreciate when the videos are labeled for beginners or moderate levels which helps me choose more wisely for where I am at in my fitness journey.
The cons
  • Cost
  • Additional cost of the extras (shoes, weights, seat cover, etc.)
  • Timing of live classes – whenever I feel like taking a live class, they never seem to be available when I am available. I would love to see a bigger range of classes throughout the day not just every few hours.
  • Calorie counter accuracy – the system calculates your calories burned using your body size, age, gender, and heart rate but the resistance is standardized by the bike, not based on the person’s body weight or gender. If you have a heart rate monitor, your numbers will be way more accurate than basing it off of the bike alone.
  • Amount of time for a technician to come and fix your bike. I would love if a technician could come out within a few days of a service call.
I knew that purchasing this bike was an investment in myself and my health which is why I couldn’t say no. I love my bike and I believe it is worth every penny This is a great option for those who are looking for a great way to get motivated, stay in shape, or lose weight on your fitness journey.
